Up, Up and away





Saturday Bart and Debbie flew up in the plane Bart built. He gave most of us rides in it. I have not been in a small plane for a very long time. It was a lot of fun to look over Blackfoot. He even did some rolls with Wes, but I didn't think I was ready for that. Fortunately he did not ask. I guess I don't have to tell you much about it since Grandma already did. It was alot of fun. Now aren't you all just a little jealous?

Week 4

Bah, I gained 2 pounds last week, and wouldn't you know it my team lost again for the second time. I guess I better get them bolstered up. This weeks challenge is to write down everything we eat, all our exercise and water. No goodies or pop. The pop is not a problem, but gosh, we still have some Easter candy around. However my ever helpful husband took it to the office just to help me out. Wasn't that nice? The winning team is supposed to get prizes this week. I like prizes.
This week is going to be busy so I won't have too much time to eat. Hope I can lose 5 lbs this week.

week 3

Yikes, week 3 was a deadbeat for my team. Apparently not all weighed in. But the green team needed a boost anyway. Personally, I still did not lose any weight, but on the bright side I didn't gain either. I am getting lots of exercise. We did meet Saturday morning at 7:30 to walk the green belt. We went around twice, in spite of a little snow. The wind was not blowing so it really wasn't too bad. The next counter walk will be the week we go to SLC., so Patty and I will walk next week
to get our points. I just went into a sight called MyPyramid.gov it has a free tracking guide to help figure out how many calories you burn compared to how many you take in. You can work out a menu, gives you an idea on what to eat and keeps an activity log. You have to put in regular daily activities also to count calories burned. Who would have thought I was burning calories while taking a shower. Check it out. Til next week happy eating healthy and exercising to you.

Week 2

Just finished week 2. I didn't lose any weight, but I was down 2 inches off my hips. I may end up looking like an upside down triangle, which by the way is still a shape. My team still won on points.
I did not do well this week end eating wise. Or should I say wise eating. I got my dairy rations by eating milk chocolate. It was a busy weekend so I ate whatever was available and Saturday night eating out at Rolbertos was available. I still exercised six days, but Saturday was so cold that Pat Waters and I gave up riding our bikes around the green belt after one round on the small loop.
Our challenge this week is another week of bringing in food for the food bank. Last week one of my team members brought in 140 lbs. Kesler's and Ridley's were having their case lot sales so she just bought in some cases. That is why we won. Wish me luck and less pounds.

Week 1

I made it through the 1st week. I lost 4 pounds and my team won with a total loss of 31 lbs. Whoo hoo!
My team is doing really good while the other team is being a bit ho hum. They would have done
better if they would have showed up Friday to weigh or to the walk on Saturday. I think they had four members come Saturday while we had almost all of us plus one. This week we are to bring in
food for the food bank as our challenge. We will also measure Friday along with weighing in.
We will start getting prizes too. Hooray!!. So far I am having a lot of fun doing this.
Wish me luck for this week. If nothing else I am getting a lot of exercise and other than being exhausted. I feel pretty good.
