The hotel was at the top of a hill. This picture shows part of the way and the high wall. Our poor little car barely had enough power to climb it. But you can see why we had such a grand view of the city.
We had a great time in Guadalajara. Other than the driving. These are pictures from our first day of arrival. This is the front of the hotel, El Tapatio. The ambiance was awesome. Since we were there during the week and not in the tourist season there were very few guests, making it very quiet and relaxing. The driveway is cobblestone making it very difficult to walk in heels.

The swimming pool was absolutely gorgeous. Very clean. However we did not go swimming. We were either out sightseeing our it was too chilly. Besides I would have looked like the great white whale. We only saw one person swimming the entire time we were there. I think he was an employee.
